You studied at Atmajaya University, can you provide some information as to your path after graduating from Atmajaya and your current position at Citibank?

After graduated from Atma Jaya University in 2003, I continued directly took my Master degree in University of Birmingham, UK majoring in Accounting and Finance. I graduated in January 2005 and started working in Citi since April 2005. I started my career in Citi as FX Dealer in Consumer Treasury up until 2007 and since then promoted to be the FX Dealer Head until 2009. In 2009, I was given the responsibility to overlook the Consumer Treasury Head. And in 2012, I joined Retail Investment team and responsible for the Investment Research and Advisory team. In April 2013, I got an extended role, besides my current role in Investment, to also be the Consumer Treasury Head as well. By joining the Investment Team, it has extended my knowledge in FX & derivative market but also stock and bonds.

Way back in 1998, you were the President Director of JEJAK Student Company at Atmajaya, how do you think this experience influence your choices in later life?

I believe my experiences and responsibility as the President in JEJAK had given a very strong and fundamental skill for my current professional career. It was one of the first company program launched by Prestasi Junior Indonesia at that time and we did not have guidelines on how to run the company program. And yet, supported by my VPs (Marketing, HR, Finance, Production) we could increase the share value to more than 10 times. During the one period of my tenure, I had the chance to learn on how to lead a big team and how to coordinate team to achieve our company goals and bring better value to our shareholders. Not to mention the skill to think creatively and out of the box for the company strategy to achieve the goals.

Apart from leadership skill, by joining the Company Program from PJI, I learned on the public speaking and communication skills, as I had to present my proposal to be elected as the President Director. Those skills and experiences played a big role to take me to the path where I am now.

How do you think this program of youth entrepreneurship development can assist Indonesia to play an important role in the future of global economy?

This program is giving ideas on how the real life after school is and prepare ourselves to face the real world which is completely different from the theory that we learned at school. To survive in the life after school, not only requires the knowledge that we learned from school but also must be supported with strong soft skill such as leadership and communication skill.

Those skills can not be learned overnight, it took experience to develop such skills. To be the leader who played important role in the future of Indonesia and global economy, also requires an ability to think strategically. Those experiences and skill can be gained from joining the company program from Prestasi Junior Indonesia. I believe the program can create many professionals and entrepreneurs to help Indonesia. Being the oldest foundations in the field and most established programs offered by PJI all over the globe, this will definitely give overseas experiences (improve our self confidence, English skills, think globally) since its program offers the chance to meet with other company program all over the world.

With this opportunity, I would like to thank you Mr. Gardiner and Prestasi Junior Indonesia on introducing to JEJAK back in my first year in university. I have garnered my experiences and skills that really played major role to achieve where I am now. Thank you

Usaha bersama : Design Kaos

"Don't be yourself, but be your best self".

Saya Danisaputra Pratama, 19th.

During my volunteering time there, I had the opportunity to work on a variety of educative programs dedicated to different publics. These educative, innovative and playful programs are tailored to create partnerships between business world and education. They arouse students’ interest on business and entrepreneurship. Furthermore, the programs underline the social aspects in economic activities. I think that it is essential for the development of a sustainable society.
