Four Major Components
§ Consultation & Planning: Prestasi Junior Indonesia (PJI) staff, teachers and volunteer(s) plan the presentation of the program, including timelines and advance instruction of specific topics, as determined by the needs of the students.
§ Focusing: students, volunteer(s) and teachers establish a strategy for decision-making within the company; brainstorm product ideas and suppliers; conduct market research; calculate break-even point; define responsibilities of the management team and announce elections; explore different forms of organization ownership; design organizational structure.
§ Student Venture: select a product/service and a name for the venture; choose form of business organization; complete capitalization; open bank account; hold management team elections and assign staff roles; create and implement business plan to finance the company; develop a product/service and website; market the product/service; prepare financial reports; initiate liquidation process.
§ Concluding Activities: students, teachers, volunteer(s) evaluate the student experience; assess different job descriptions to determine potential career paths; update resume to reflect participation.
