Jan 17, 2020 – After six months of preparation the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) is underway in Jakarta and East Java. Teachers have been trained by senior lecturers from Binus University and are now prepared to integrate the SIC curriculum within classes in the following schools; SMA Binus Simprug, SMA Binus Serpong, SMK Al Huda Kota Kediri, and SMKN 1 Geger, Madiun. Teachers now have the knowledge and proficiency to support the learning of approx. 130 high school students in Coding, Python, Arduino, and Algorithm lessons. The curriculum, developed by Samsung Korea, has been translated for use in East Java schools and tools provided by the corporation will be used to augment classroom learning. Prestasi Junior acknowledges the importance of this innovative learning experience in preparing school leavers for the workforce. It is necessary to ensure students acquire the capability to contribute in the 4.0 economy and the SIC experience enables this to happen. In addition to Indonesia, similar programs are being conducted in Thailand, Vietnam, and Chile. Together, JA Worldwide and Samsung Korea are piloting these SIC  programs with an ambition of expansion in the future.
