Volunteers are the lifeblood of PJI’s hands on and experiential programs. Training will be provided to ensure the experience for both beneficiaries and volunteers will be unforgettable.

WHAT IS VOLUNTEERING?

A volunteer is a business person who comes into the classroom to assist students in their understanding of business activity. Your commitment may vary from a single lesson to weekly visits and even mentoring of student micro enterprises. It depends on the grade level and program you choose to be a part of.

WHAT ARE VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS?

As a role model, you should possess energy, enthusiasm and enjoy working with young people. Basic knowledge of business concepts is helpful but not absolutely ecessary. Our programs provide volunteers with all the information they require to make a positive impact in the classroom.

HOW WILL I MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

By giving a little of your time to share your practical knowledge of the business world, offering real life examples from your own work experience and encouraging students to set goals for their future, you will enrich the lives of the students you work with in a very practical way.
