MESSAGE FROM THE LEADER

Message from the Leader - March 2020

Dear Friends of Prestasi Junior Indonesia,

Prestasi Junior is very pleased to be able introduce our quarterly newsletter to you in 2020. In addition to providing an update on the many initiatives underway this year, we also acknowledge the fantastic support of our partners. During these challenging times brought to us as a result of the impact of COVID-19, we have been able to adapt many of our engagements with students to ensure the safety and welfare of all stakeholders whilst maintaining educational value of our programs. Working from home is now almost a necessity and we have been able to make use of various digital platforms to reach out to beneficiaries and maintain the momentum of our initiatives. Several examples of this adaptation include the engagement of on-line business volunteers for our almost 50 school-based student company operations and the ongoing tuition involved in our Samsung Innovation Campus between teachers and students using Microsoft Teams. We are consistently looking into innovation which will enable us to, over the next months, continue to ensure that our student beneficiaries are provided with education initiatives which add considerable value to regular learning regimes. It is so important that, during the period of school closure, young people continue to learn and our initiatives enable this to happen through activation of an applied and impactful strategy. Prestasi Junior, being part of the JA Worldwide network of operations, is well placed to recognize best practices undertaken by other nations and adapt/apply these to meet the demands placed on us by the current situation. We will continue our mission of preparing and inspiring young Indonesians for success during these challenging times.

We trust that our friends find this newsletter informative and ask that you contact us for any further information. Let’s be more connected through PJI OUTLOOK and, working together, mobilize impactful initiatives which will, ultimately, provide opportunities for young people to achieve success and improve their lives in the future. Invest, Involve, Inspire!

Yours sincerely,
Robert Gardiner
