Dear Friends of Prestasi Junior Indonesia,

Prestasi Junior Indonesia is very pleased to welcome you to our second edition of the PJI Outlook newsletter. The past eight months have provided us with unprecedented challenges as a result of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, this ‘new normal’ era also brings many new opportunities and encourages us to generate innovative strategies in support of a positive and impactful engagement with all stakeholders.

To ensure the safety of all stakeholders and comply with the government health protocols, all of our educational programs are currently delivered virtually. The Prestasi Junior Indonesia Team have adapted all learning materials and created interactive learning strategies to optimize student learning impact. Some of the successful outcomes of this online engagement include; i) the business operations of 44 student companies in 11 regions of Indonesia which generated business revenue of more than IDR 270 million, ii) the participation of female students from 8 different cities in a one-day work readiness education event, and iii) the interaction of junior high school students with cross-border volunteers (Singapore, India and Indonesia) in a STEM education program, and many more.

We believe all students are able to continue benefitting from innovative educational initiatives during this difficult time and it is the commitment and support provided by our donors, business volunteers, government personnel, teachers and other stakeholders which enables this. Prestasi Junior Indonesia appreciates our impactful partnerships and looks forward to the opportunity to continue working together to mobilize impactful initiatives which will, ultimately, provide opportunities for young people to achieve success and improve their lives in the future.
