Sep 1, 2015 – During an intense two days at the end of August the regional finalists of the PJI student company competitions participated in the national competition at Citiwalk Mall. Opened by the Director General of Elementary, Middle, and High School Education for the Republic of Indonesia, Bapak Hamid Muhmmad, and the Counselor for Economic Affairs from the Embassy of the United States of America, Mr. Jim Mullinax the event involved assessment of student business activities, reports, presentations and interviews. A team of high level business professionals gathered together on Saturday to evaluate each student led micro-enterprise.

For the first time in this annual competition a team from Bali competed. The judges were so impressed with their performance and, in particular, the scalability of their product, scented soap, that the team from SMKN 4 Denpasar won first prize and the golden ticket to travel to Seoul, Korea, in February 2016. They will compete in the JA Worldwide Asia Pacific Student Company of the Year Competition.

Most Innovative Product – SMA Bina Informatika, Bintaro supported by Bank Permata

The competition was notable for the diversity of products on sale including a greater emphasis on technology and innovation. It is evident that in each year of this competition the level of student performance is improved as they seek to achieve the title of the nation’s best student company.

PJI would like to thank all the volunteers involved in making this event such a huge success. Without this support the students would not have the opportunity to work towards realizing their potentials and explore opportunities for a sustainable livelihood.
