Oct 24, 2016 – The first week of October 2016 Chairman’s Challenge saw the mobilization of over 100 volunteers to Taman Mataram in South Jakarta. This park is currently under-utilised by locals and Prudential, together with Prestasi Junior, wish to change this. The park is strategically located very near a high school and lose to major access points, including next to a city bus stop.
The 2016 objective is to work with the government of the province of Jakarta to create a park which incorporates fun activities using a finance theme. This involves activities focusing on budgeting, consumer awareness and an introduction to strategies averting risk. The intention is to maintain this park for the next three years and ensure people of all ages use the facility. Prestasi Junior will utilise the facility as part of its ongoing collaboration with city education officials to promote financial literacy amongst youth.
The first of five weeks of hard work began on Saturday morning with the opening address from Mr Jens Reich, President Director PT Prudential Life Indonesia, providing the impetus for enthusiastic volunteer engagement.
