Apr 16, 2019 – This week, on the 16th April, Prestasi Junior was able to celebrate the success of students from State High School 4 Denpasar. Students from the school formed the Zeal Student Company and participated in the JA Worldwide Asia Pacific Company of the Year Competition in Manila. Twenty teams from thirteen nations joined this three-day event and two teams from Indonesia performed exceptionally well. One of these teams was Zeal – a Citi supported micro-enterprise represented by four students currently matriculating at 11th grade level. The company achieved second place in the competition and secured partial scholarships to study at selected United States Universities provided by the International University Alliance and the Shorelight Foundation. The students have secured up to USD60,000 each as a result of their hard work and commitment in establishing and operating a successful school based micro-enterprise.
So, on the 16th April Prestasi Junior celebrated this success together with representatives from the American Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia, Citi Indonesia, the International University Alliance, the Head of High School Education for the Province of Bali, Head of School and representatives from multiple schools across the city of Denpasar. This official award of certificates was an inspirational event for everyone and emphasized the important principle of hard work achieving reward.
