Nov 26, 2019 – Prestasi Junior Indonesia, as part of the JA Worldwide network, is extremely pleased to have the opportunity to operate a new entrepreneurship development program in 25 schools located in the cities of Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, and Denpasar. More than 8,500 young Indonesians will be introduced to the world of entrepreneurship through engagement in the JA Be Entrepreneurial! Program at 10th grade level. An additional 20-25 students from each of 25 schools will be selected to begin and operate their own businesses within the context of the JA Company Program. They will build a business entity based out of the school with the support of Citi Peka volunteers and compete in regional, national, and international competitions.
On Tuesday evening, 19th November, Citi Indonesia celebrated the mobilization of support for PJI and those other organizations who have been provided with a responsibility to positively impact communities in various locations across the nation. The Citi Indonesia CEO, Bapak Batara Sianturi had great pleasure in presenting this support to representatives and addressing an assembled group from the media.
PJI thanks Citi Foundation and Citi Indonesia for their ongoing support. This is now year number 5 in which we have been able to implement the JA Company Program in multiple schools thanks to Citi. As a result more young people are considering a business start-up as the choice of securing income for themselves and their families.
