HSBC Indonesia’s operates at various demography’s with PJI’s partnership focusing on financial literacy for yong people matriculating at elementary and middle school levels. This focus involves the development of, firstly, a school based digital program focusing on financial literacy. This has now evolved into an on-line version available for everyone to use – known as Anak Cerdas. A second initiative has been the JA More Than Money operation which has benefitted more than 30,000 middle school students over a period of eleven years. Although both HSBC driven programs focus on financial literacy, they also emphasise the importance of values related to the earning, saving, spending, and donating of money. Ibu Natalia was able to make this point very clear to the audience of media representatives together with an emphasis on the importance of a digital approach to learning.

The HSBC Indonesia support of community based initiatives is quite exceptional as it covers elementary school and middle school finlit education (PJI), vocational school and out of school youth entrepreneurship education (YCAB), capacity building for teachers and other education specialists The British Council), and higher learning (Sampoerna University).
