July 7, 2020 – Prestasi Junior has, for many years, worked within high schools to promote entrepreneurship education in locations across Indonesia. These student entrepreneurs have now become young business people – many are operating their own business enterprises or taking over from their parents and running a business based on knowledge and experience achieved within the JA Company program operation. The alumni now have a great opportunity to grow their business even more through the support of WhatsApp. The corporation has been the energizer behind establishing an online Business Catalogue which promotes the small business operations of our Alumni within Indonesia.
On Tuesday 7th July, we launched this new initiative together with Bapak Wikan Sakarinto (Director General for Vocational Education, Ministry of Education and Culture) and Karissa Sjawaldy (Public Policy Manager, Facebook Indonesia). This is a pilot initiative and a unique collaboration between WhatsApp and local small business operators. The catalogue initiative will be augmented by sessions focusing on the training of our young entrepreneurs. The emphasis will be on incorporating a digital approach within operations of both our high school and alumni business enterprises. Prestasi Junior applauds the support provided by WhatsApp in Indonesia as, together, we work towards growing the number and success of small business operations across the nation.
