Cha-Ching Money Adventure Launched in Jakarta

Jul 15, 2023 – Prudence Foundation, Prudential Indonesia, and Prestasi Junior Indonesia launched the Cha-Ching Money Adventures (CCMA) Website in Indonesia on Saturday, July 15, 2023.  Some 252 elementary-level students, together with their parents and 25 teachers participated in a fun day in which they became immersed in a bundle of activities promoting awareness and an understanding of financial literacy. The formal launching was led by Marc Fancy, the Executive Director of the Prudence Foundation, and Ibu Michellina Laksmi Triwardhany, President Director of Prudential Indonesia, and attended by senior representatives from the Directorate of Elementary School Education and the Indonesian Financial Services Authority.

The Cha-Ching Money Adventures (CCMA) website provides elementary students with learning media via engaging educational materials and experiences through gamification. This undertaking provides opportunities for all Indonesian children to improve their money management skills in an easier and fun way. CCMA was developed in partnership with the Education Development Center. The objective of the web-based game is to help children, aged 7 to 12 years, learn about wise money management skills together with the Cha-Ching band members through interactive e-learning experiences. Four narrative-driven modules provide students with fun games and activities, kids are introduced to the four key money management concepts of Earn, Save, Spend and Donate to help them improve their money decision-making skills.

This exciting opportunity for elementary school children to participate in e-learning augments the current classroom-based implementation of the Cha-Ching Curriculum which is conducted in multiple locations across the archipelago. To date, almost one-half million young Indonesians have directly benefitted from participation in the Cha-Ching Curriculum. In addition, the young money management ‘ambassadors’ provide important information (picked up during classroom sessions) to members of their extended families. This indirect benefit promotes the key concepts of earning, spending, saving, and donating to wider communities.

The investment from the Prudence Foundation and Prudential Indonesia is an investment in the future of Indonesia. Instilling knowledge and habits of wise money management at a young age establishes the foundation for application and expansion in the future. Prestasi Junior Indonesia is proud to be the implementation partner for this exciting initiative.
