May 11, 2024 – Over a period of two weeks the best 8 company’s run by students and supported by the Z Zurich Foundation and Zurich Indonesia were selected to participate in the national competition in June. Great business ideas from each school combined with impressive presentations and interviews provided judges with the necessary information to select the best teams – but it was not an easy task this year! The judges needed to deliberate at length as the quality was most impressive. Although all student-led businesses performed exceptionally well over a period of at least six months the following were selected to advance;

SMKN 57 Jakarta
SMA Plus PGRI Cibinong
SMAN 13 Bandung
SMKN 9 Semarang

This is a great mix of state and private schools and also strong performances by several vocational schools. The members of these student led businesses will compete for the opportunity to represent Indonesia at the Asia Pacific level in March 2025. On behalf of the students we serve PJI wishes to thank the great group of judges and, of course, the impactful support from the Zurich Indonesia volunteers and the Z Zurich Foundation. These young Indonesians are now better prepared for entry into the workplace or establish their own business entity. Support has improved both financial and digital literacy amongst students in readiness for positive participation within the economy.
