Jul 13, 2024 – The 2024 PJI Company of the Year Competition was held at Kota Kasablanka Mall on July 13th. Each year the quality of student run business operations improves, and this year was no different. Our jury team was provided with the difficult task of selecting the best business operation to represent Indonesia at the Asia Pacific level in Tokyo early 2025. These students represented schools from Medan, Jakarta, Bogor, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Makassar, and Denpasar. The student companies, operating over a period of six months, were supported by Z Zurich Foundation, Zurich Indonesia, Starbucks Foundation, and AIG. The high-quality judging panel, donating almost 12 hours of their time, were:

After a busy schedule of booth assessment, presentations, Q & A, and interview sessions followed by deliberation the judges agreed on the following winners:

Sustainability Excellence Award: Sarasija SC – SMAN 3 Yogyakarta
The Best Use of Technology Award: Cossivy SC – SMAN 81 Jakarta

The top teams were all excellent, however the team from Bali were able to combine the very best of People, Product, and Process to achieve a standard beyond that of the competition. PJI wishes to thank the many stakeholders involved in making sure this occasion was a great success. This includes our friends and volunteers from Zurich Indonesia, Starbucks Indonesia and the AIG Jakarta office.
