Sep 5, 2024 – High Schools located in the province of Kepulauan Riau are benefitting from comprehensive digital literacy training undertaken by the team from the National Institute of Education at Singapore Technological University. Teachers involved in core STEM subject content delivery now have the skills, knowledge, confidence, and tools to be able to integrate key digital learning experiences within their classroom delivery. As supported by the Caterpillar Foundation, teachers and students now have access to BBC Micro:bits and Grove Inventor Kits and are able to utilize these as learning tools. The objective has been to ensure an impactful and sustainable integration of digital technology takes place within the classroom which provides students, studying in schools located on the islands of the province, with the experience to discover its applicability to the world beyond school.
