Oct 2, 2024 – Empowering students with the skills to make sound financial decisions and manage their financial futures is essential in today’s world. With this goal, Prestasi Junior Indonesia (PJI) and PT FWD Insurance Indonesia (FWD Insurance) have continued the implementation of JA SparktheDream. Now in its second year, the program has successfully educated over 2,000 junior high school students across DKI Jakarta, West Java, and East Java.

Over the past five months, students have gained critical knowledge in financial literacy, focusing on making smart financial choices and managing money responsibly. To put their new skills into practice, students participated in the JA SparktheDream Social Challenge – 2024 Indonesia Finals. This exciting competition encouraged them to create innovative, community-focused projects promoting financial literacy and inclusion. Students conveyed their ideas through creative short videos that addressed local issues and proposed solutions, showcasing both their originality and social awareness.

After a rigorous assessment of the videos, followed by Q&A sessions, the judges selected the following winners:

First Place Winner: PJ Rise – SMP Pembangunan Jaya
Second Place Winner: V6 Ecoranger – SMPN 6 Depok
Third Place Winner: SIGER – SMPN 27 Bandung
Volunteers’ Choice Award: Napalololel – SMPN 3 Sidoarjo

The standout moment of this year’s competition was the selection of the top two teams, PJ Rise and V6 Ecoranger, who will proudly represent Indonesia at the Asia Pacific Finals in November. Their innovative projects captured the judges’ attention and earned them the honor of advancing to the regional stage, where they will compete with teams across Asia.
