Nov 15, 2024 – PT FWD Insurance Indonesia and Prestasi Junior Indonesia proudly celebrate the achievement of students from SMPN 6 Depok and SMP Pembangunan Jaya Tangerang Selatan, who won first and second place in the JA SparktheDream Social Challenge – 2024 Asia Pacific Final, organized by FWD Group in collaboration with JA Asia Pacific on Thursday, November 14. This event facilitates students from six markets in Asia, including Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, to showcase their social innovation projects that contribute to the growth of financial literacy and inclusion among the youth.
The team from SMPN 6 Depok, who claimed the top prize in the competition, presented Rebud, a financial education mobile app for teenagers that uses games, quizzes, and homework challenges. Meanwhile, the team from SMP Pembangunan Jaya, who secured second place, introduced their idea, The Daily Spark of Money — an innovative desk calendar featuring daily savings records, financial-themed games, and motivational quotes and achievement stickers to encourage users. Their idea outperformed that of Lac Hong Bilingual School from Vietnam, who also took second place, and SMK Pusat Bandar Puchong 1 from Malaysia, who came in third.

The participation of Indonesian students in the JA SparktheDream Social Challenge represents a significant step towards building financial awareness from a young age. Since 2023, this program has empowered over 3,500 students with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective personal financial management, enabling them to take control of their financial futures. The innovative projects and ideas presented by these students demonstrate the immense potential of the younger generation to create inclusive solutions for the future.
