Apr 29, 2025 – As the world faces growing environmental challenges, the transition to renewable energy has become more urgent than ever. Young people hold the key to building a sustainable future. With the aim of enhancing creativity, innovation, and action of this issue, Prestasi Junior Indonesia, in collaboration with Deloitte Indonesia, launched the “Our Power, Our Planet: Hack-a-ton for Renewable Energy Innovation”.

This exciting initiative invited high school students from Jakarta, Bogor, and Bekasi to take part in a hands-on experience focused on renewable energy solutions. Participants began their activity with interactive workshops guided by Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) experts, deepening their understanding of global challenges and local opportunities.

To further support their ideas, students were mentored by Deloitte volunteers to refine their concepts and strengthen their problem-solving skills. These collaborative sessions encouraged students to think critically and creatively, while working as a team to address real issues in their communities.

The program culminated in a pitch competition, where students presented their innovations to a panel of judges. The results were inspiring, thoughtful, and practical ideas emerged, showing the incredible potential of youth-driven solutions for environmental sustainability. In the end of the competition, SMAN 81 Jakarta emerge as the winner of the competition.

Through this hackathon, students not only developed valuable skills, but also discovered the power they hold to influence change. It’s a powerful call for youth to stay curious, stay involved, and step up as agents of change.
