Students Showcase Financial Innovation in JA SparktheDream Social Challenge

Oct 13, 2025 – PT FWD Insurance Indonesia (“FWD Insurance”) and Prestasi Junior Indonesia (PJI) held the JA SparktheDream Social Challenge on October 1, 2025, as part of the celebration for Financial Inclusion Month and the culminating event of JA SparktheDream program.

This year, JA SparktheDream program has been implemented since February to November 2025, reached over 2,200 students, 11 teachers, and 11 schools across Jakarta, South Tangerang, Depok, Bandung, Cimahi, Surabaya, Sidoarjo, Bogor, Tangerang, Bekasi, and Denpasar.

This national competition challenges students to create innovative financial literacy ideas that bring real, positive change to their communities.

Financial Inclusion Month: Building a Financially Empowered Generation
Anugrah Sutejo, Analyst of the Financial Literacy and Education Planning, Development, and Evaluation Division at the Financial Services Authority (OJK), emphasized the importance of engaging young people in the financial inclusion movement,

“Financial Inclusion Month is a national agenda to broaden public access and understanding of financial services. It’s also a vital moment to engage youth in becoming more financially literate.”

Innovative and Impactful Student Creations
Students’ ideas showcased their creativity and concern for their surroundings. Projects ranged from board games, e-books, and digital comics to finance management apps featuring virtual characters. Community-based innovations included e-money cards linked to school waste banks, interactive financial journals, and friend-saving apps designed to encourage peer collaboration in financial habits.

These creations reflect that financial literacy can be engaging, relevant, and fun, a skill that blends imagination with real-world purpose.
