Apr 9, 2025 – The International Trade Challenge (ITC), organized by Junior Achievement Asia Pacific and supported by FedEx Express, officially kicked off its fifth year in Indonesia with an engaging workshop event that brought together students and industry professionals. The event marks the beginning of an initiative designed to nurture entrepreneurial skills and global market awareness among high school students.
As the opening agenda of ITC 2025, the workshop welcomed 330 students from 65 schools across Indonesia. Participants gained firsthand insights into the global trade industry through open discussions and interactive learning sessions. They explored current business trends, asked questions directly to professionals, and learned about the opportunities and challenges faced in international trade.
In addition, students collaborated across schools to create and showcase mock-up market entry strategies, providing them with a practical overview of the process and its key components. This hands-on activity served as valuable preparation for the next stage of the competition, where students will be challenged to develop a comprehensive strategy for an eco-friendly solution aimed at reducing fast fashion waste from product returns, with China as the target market.
Beyond the competition, the ITC program emphasizes skill-building and professional exposure. Students not only gain essential knowledge but also build confidence in presenting their ideas and tackling real-world business issues—competencies that will serve them well in their future careers.
