Building a Financial Learning Ecosystem at Home and School Through JA SparktheDream

Feb 4, 2026 – Prestasi Junior Indonesia in collaboration with PT FWD Insurance Indonesia launches the fourth year of JA SparktheDream with an enhanced approach that positions families, schools, and financial services stakeholders as one interconnected financial learning ecosystem. This kick-off event was conducted at SMP Islam, Alam, dan Sains Al-Jannah

In its fourth year, JA SparktheDream will deliver financial education to more than 2,300 middle school students across Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, South Tangerang, Bekasi, Bandung, Cimahi, Semarang, Surabaya, Sidoarjo, and Denpasar. The program is scheduled to run through November 2026.

A Holistic Financial Learning Approach

JA SparktheDream provides holistic financial literacy education through four structured in-class learning sessions facilitated by PJI facilitators alongside teachers and FWD Insurance volunteers. The program applies interactive learning methods that combine classroom sessions, an online learning platform, and at-home activities involving families as an integral part of the learning journey.

Through these at-home activities, students can directly apply financial lessons in real-life contexts by engaging in family discussions, practicing simple expense tracking, and participating in everyday financial decision-making with parental guidance. This approach ensures that financial literacy extends beyond theory, becoming a practical habit embedded in students’ daily lives.

Building Financial-Savy Ecosystem

The fourth year of JA SparktheDream commenced with a financial literacy seminar for parents, teachers, and students titled “Manage Your Money Today, Secure Tomorrow”, held at SMP Al-Jannah. The seminar was designed to reinforce the role of parents and teacher as guides in cultivating healthy financial habits and sound financial decision-making at early ages both in family and schools.

Dewi R.D. Amelia, CFP, an Islamic Financial Planner, was invited as the speaker at the seminar, emphasized that financial management is not determined by the size of one’s income, but by the habits and financial decisions made in everyday life. She emphasized the importance of building this ecosystem as the increasing growth of digital financial services which may pose risks if not accompanied by adequate understanding.

Toward a Healthier Financial Future

By fostering a financial learning ecosystem that lives both at home and at school, JA SparktheDream reflects the ongoing commitment of Prestasi Junior Indonesia and FWD Insurance to cultivate the financial literacy foundation of Indonesian children.
