Amazon Girls’ Tech Day 2026 Breaks Barriers in Technology Across School Levels

Feb 7, 2026 – Amazon, in collaboration with Prestasi Junior Indonesia (PJI), once again hosted Amazon Girls’ Tech Day, a global learning initiative designed to inspire and prepare girls and young women to pursue their future in technology. Entering its fourth year in Indonesia, the program adopts a more comprehensive and progressive approach, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence (AI), gaming, robotics, and coding as essential future-ready skills for Indonesia’s next generation of female talent.

Broadening Technology Access Across the Education Levels

For the first time since its launch in Indonesia, Amazon Girls’ Tech Day reached students across all education levels from elementary to middle and high school. A total of 400 female students from 10 schools in Cikarang and Karawang participated in this year’s program. This expansion marks a strategic step in nurturing interest and readiness among young female talent from an early age, particularly amid the rapid acceleration of AI-driven digital transformation.

Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Meutya Hafid, participated and welcomed the collaboration between Amazon and PJI in preparing female digital talent from an early age:

“Strengthening AI and digital literacy must start in schools and reach all groups, including girls. Amazon Girls’ Tech Day demonstrates how collaboration between industry and education can make a tangible contribution to building an inclusive and competitive digital talent ecosystem”

Tailored Learning Experiences Across Education Levels

Amazon Girls’ Tech Day 2026 was designed as a comprehensive, project-based learning experience tailored to each education level. This tiered approach ensures that learning experiences remain age-appropriate, relevant, and impactful, while progressively building students’ confidence and technical understanding.

At the elementary school level, students were introduced to robotics through hands-on learning using Quarky, allowing them to understand basic AI and automation concepts in a fun and interactive way.

For middle school students, the program featured unplugged coding activities, Ranger Games, enabling participants to grasp computational thinking and logical problem-solving skills without relying on devices, making complex concepts more accessible and engaging.

Meanwhile, high school students explored game development fundamentals and participated in an interactive talk show session with a female tech leader, where they gained deeper insight into career pathways, industry challenges, and opportunities in the developing industry of AI and gaming.

Strengthening Inclusive Pathways to the Industry Development

By combining expanded participant reach with a deeper and more structured learning focus, Amazon Girls’ Tech Day 2026 is expected to lay a strong foundation for Indonesia’s next generation of women to enter the technology and digital ecosystem.

Through sustained collaboration between industry and education, Amazon and Prestasi Junior Indonesia reaffirm their commitment to creating inclusive pathways that empower more girls to dream boldly, learn continuously, and thrive in the world of technology.
