Cha-Ching Curriculum Reaches More Children in Indonesia

Feb 12, 2020 – Financial literacy is a critical life skill that needs to be instilled in children at an early age in order to build responsible financial behaviour throughout each stage of their lives. This commitment has encouraged the Prudence Foundation and Prestasi Junior Indonesia to continue providing financial literacy education to elementary school students in Indonesia through mobilization of the Cha-Ching Curriculum program. After benefiting more than 114 thousand third-grade students from all elementary schools in Sidoarjo Regency and DKI Jakarta Province since 2017, an expansion has taken place which includes students in schools from Blitar and Trenggalek Regencies starting in 2020. Over the period of January to February 2020, a total of 1,218 teachers in the four regions have been trained to teach the four basic concepts of finance (earn, save, spend, and donate) to students. They do so by utilizing the interactive and fun methodology incorporated within the Cha Ching Curriculum.
