Mar 13, 2020 – Prestasi Junior Indonesia is very pleased to begin the collaboration with Samsung Electronics to implement the Samsung Innovation Campus program in Indonesia. As a pilot, there are four schools involved which, incidentally, cater for two disparate demographics – SMK Al Huda Kota Kediri and SMKN 1 Geger in East Java and SMA Binus Simprug and SMA Binus Serpong in the greater Jakarta area. On January 17 and February 1, the teachers were trained by IT lecturers from Binus University to deliver knowledge and skills associated with the digital curriculum within classes in each school. Students have been participating in a series of digital learning about Coding and Python. The Arduino and Algorithm lessons, which are currently taught through on-line platforms such as Microsoft Teams, are now underway. The curriculum developed by Samsung Korea is presented with attractive learning modules and tools that augment the classroom learning experience. This initiative was developed to better prepare school graduates for active engagement in the industry 4.0 upon graduation from school.
